We thought this was a very insightful exchange on Al Jazeera, especially the comments from writer and historian Alex Gonzalez Ormerod, and Doctor Kiona, founder of Education Thru Travel. Travel writer Bani Amoor took the ‘anti-mass tourism’ track. Whilst we don’t necessarily agree, especially with her characterisation of mass tourism as ‘colonialism’, these are important debates for anyone concerned with the future of tourism.
